#VALUE!
Cucumber juice is one of the more wonderful secrets in the world of beauty, due to its high water content. For a natural, simple, and refreshing skincare trick you can do at home, this is your answer. This mask only stays on the face for about ten minutes, while it brightens your face and removes dead skin cells, resulting in smooth and firm skin.
Using thin rice paper sheets (like those used for Vietnamese spring rolls), soaked for a few minutes in natural cucumber juice until they become soft, transparent, and flexible, the softened rice paper is gently placed on the face like a mask. It dries within minutes and gives a subtle tightening sensation.
Why does it work?
Rice paper is made from natural rice starch, which acts like a “compressed peel” with a firming effect. As it dries on the skin, it gently contracts, creating a natural lifting effect that temporarily smooths the skin and leaves it feeling refreshed.
That combined with cucumber juice, which contains 90% water, has a cooling effect, and helps reduce puffiness, especially around the eyes. Other nutrients in cucumber provide a brightening and rejuvenating effect for the skin.
How to make it?
Step-by-step:
Grate a fresh cucumber with the peel, strain through a sieve, or blend it and squeeze the juice through a cloth.
Soak the rice paper sheet in the cucumber juice until it softens.
Apply the softened sheet to clean facial skin for about 15 minutes.
Gently remove the mask and rinse your face with lukewarm water.
