Discover This Superfood: Unveiling the Health Benefits of Tiger Nuts
If you haven't yet heard of tiger nuts, it's time to start learning and incorporating these natural snacks into your diet for numerous health benefits.

I am a devoted fan of nuts, and there's hardly a nut in the market I'm not familiar with.
Or so I thought—until this week, when I stumbled upon these: small, round, spotted, and incredibly intriguing. Meet tiger nuts—an ancient superfood (but new to me) with endless health benefits.
A quick research into tiger nuts revealed fascinating findings, including a notable contribution to balancing blood sugar levels.
But before you rush out to buy them and add them to your diet (which I recommend), it's crucial to know something I didn't realize beforehand: you can't chew these nuts like you would regular nuts. You must grind them first because they're just too hard (and no, don't test this out).
Tiger nuts are considered a superfood mainly because of the amazing nutrients they contain: antioxidants, potassium, iron, vitamin C, vitamin E, and yes, also dietary fibers, which are recommended to be included in every meal throughout the day.
So what will this healthy snack do for you? According to nutritionists, it's a "superfood" with many health advantages that can help overcome illnesses and even satisfy you on your diet.
"The soluble fibers in it prevent constipation, aid in better digestion of food, reduce abdominal bloating, encourage better bowel activity, maintain heart health, and even balance blood pressure," doctors say.
Research conducted on the amino acid arginine found in high levels in this nut shows that it dilates blood vessels and contributes to the health of blood vessels. Another amino acid in this healthy nut promotes natural insulin production in the body and can dramatically improve the metrics of diabetic patients.
What do I make with these nuts? Glad you asked. Primarily, I needed them specifically for energy bites that strengthen the body’s overall systems and provide an energy boost. I prepared them with dates, cashews, walnuts, pecans, hazelnuts, and ground tiger nuts powder made in a spice grinder.
What else can you make with them?
If you grind them, you can use your flour to make incredibly tasty tahini cookies (search Google for a tahini cookie recipe and simply add half a cup of tiger nut flour to your mixture).
You can add this wonderful powder to yogurt, salads, and even soups. The sweet flavor of the nut will enhance your dishes' taste immensely.
If you're into smoothies, you can add the nut flour to any shake where you want a hint of sweetness.
