According to a survey conducted in the United States, around 2,000 adults were asked about the phenomenon of snoring and how they attempt to get rid of this nuisance. The responses were quite diverse and creative, from sitting up to sleep to resting with their head at the end of the bed.
The survey, featured in the 2023 Annual Snoring Report, was commissioned by MuteSnoring.com and conducted in collaboration with WebMD and OnePoll. The findings revealed that 53% of people who snore, or live with someone who does, are willing to do whatever it takes to stop the habit.

Can Snoring Be Stopped Completely?
Sleep expert Olivia Arezzolo offers 4 easy and straightforward tips to stop snoring:
1. Maintain a Healthy Weight – Excess weight increases the intensity of snoring, while maintaining a healthy weight can improve or even eliminate the symptoms.
2. Air Quality – Sometimes snoring is caused by pollution, so a well-ventilated room reduces the risk of snoring symptoms.
3. Alcohol Effects – This is the number one cause of snoring. Alcohol relaxes the muscles in the upper airway, enhancing snoring.
4. Sleep on Your Side – Snoring is more pronounced when sleeping on the back, so sleeping on your side can help reduce snoring.
