A Vibrant Gallery With a Mission: Fighting the Sweet Drink Habit
"Squeeze Out the Sweetness": A Prize-Winning Contest in the Haredi Sector Raises Awareness of Sugary Drink Dangers Without Relying on Taxes and Penalties. Check It Out

A picture is worth a thousand words, but how much is a poster worth? Turns out, a lot. Amid the public debate over canceling the sugary drink tax, Chaim and Tovi Dikman, founders and owners of "Progg" College for Haredi creators in various fields, decided to take action. They launched an initiative calling on advertisers and designers in the Haredi sector to participate in an extraordinary competition.
The advertisers who participated in the contest showcased artistic and creative thinking that clearly communicated the harm caused by sugary drinks, contrasting arbitrary price hikes driven by politics, which hurt the weaker populations without effectively explaining to them why avoiding sugary drinks is crucial.
