The earthquake in Turkey and Syria claimed tens of thousands of lives, but among the tragedy, there were miraculous stories of families pulled alive from the debris. The story of Ahmed Al-Magribi is one of the strangest tales from this devastating earthquake.

Ahmed Al-Magribi was trapped under the ruins of a building that collapsed during the earthquake in Atareb, Syria. When rescuers found him, he didn't respond to the paramedics' calls, leading them to declare him dead and move his 'body' to the morgue. He stayed there for two days until his family came to identify him.

According to local media, after his family confirmed his identity, Ahmed was transported to the local cemetery. However, as they prepared for his burial, Ahmed began to move, revealing to everyone that the 'deceased' was actually alive.

His family and friends, present for what should have been his funeral, rushed Ahmed to the hospital, where he is currently recovering. Local media speculate that his heart may have started beating again after it had stopped, but the exact reason for his initial 'death' remains unclear.

The earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria resulted in approximately 50,000 deaths and injured over 100,000 people.
