The Reverberating Loss of a Torah Giant in Our Time
What happens when we lose one of our Torah giants? How do we continue when someone who honored Hashem daily is no longer with us?

#VALUE!
"The passing of the righteous is equivalent to the burning of the Temple" (Rosh Hashanah 18b).
When a righteous person in our generation departs, we lose, above all, two significant things.
First, we lose our protector. There's no longer someone whose toil in Torah, prayers, and blessings shield us from the unfolding disasters, happening daily and hourly.
Second, we lose our guide. There's no one to counsel us, no one to guide us, and no one to strengthen us.
These were the central roles the Temple played.
Anyone who visited the Temple left strengthened, and even if they arrived weak, a prayer could save them from impending calamities.
We are all now in great danger, yet at the same time, a tremendous opportunity lies before us.
The dedication of the holy sage Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, of blessed memory, his proficiency, his righteousness,
"May His great name be magnified and sanctified."
When an ordinary person passes away, the name of Hashem seemingly diminishes, for there is one less to praise and glorify Hashem.
And what happens when it's one of our giants? When someone who brought honor to Hashem every day, every hour, every second, departs from this world?
The honor of Hashem dwindles!
Our role is to restore, even in a small way, that honor.
Each of us should commit to something: immense dedication, meticulousness in halacha, awe of Heaven, or one additional good deed.
Each according to their level, each within their surroundings, each based on their personal alignment.
Together we will merit, with Hashem's help, to hasten the coming of redemption, and soon we will witness the arrival of our righteous Messiah and the rebuilding of our holy Temple,
and blessings be upon you all!
Thank you very much and may you be blessed with more mitzvot
