When Michelle, sister of singer Gad Elbaz, returned from her performances only to face the emptiness awaiting her at home, she realized something in her life had to change.

Amidst the overwhelming loneliness, Michelle decided to consult her rabbi for a blessing. "I told him I sing and enjoy it, but why the emptiness, why the lack of fulfillment? And then the rabbi said to me, 'I bless you to return to your faith'.

She also told the rabbi about a friend she had met, who had become significant in her life. However, the rabbi was firm in his warning: "This girl is Christian and is corrupting your soul," he said. "Please, stop associating with her, she is not for you. You will cross every red line you ever had, without limits," he warned.

And then on one Friday, it happened: "Before Shabbat began, this girl said to me, 'Michelle, what do you have to do at home? Come, go out for a bit'. She was a huge temptation for me, leading to the desecration of the holy Shabbat. On Saturday night, I took a taxi, and no less, I was in a severe accident. The car shattered to pieces. I don't know how I survived... Friends who were with me in the taxi, all were injured. I felt it was all my fault".

Then she understood what the rabbi had been trying to tell her all along. "I truly saw Hashem before my eyes and felt He was giving me a sign".

At this point, Michelle asked her agent for a break, and he agreed to give her two weeks off. "A week went by, and Shabbat arrived again," she recalls. "I didn't want to get up for Kiddush, I was sad. I went to sleep and dreamt a dream that the world was ending".

In her dream, Elbaz saw the end and realized everyone had to go to the world of truth. "I began to see water flowing, flowing, flowing toward us, inundating each in turn - until their figure disappeared, rising to the heavens. I looked in amazement, what is happening?! Then it was my turn, and the water slowly rose over me until I vanished.

"I saw darkness, a great void from which I saw light. Light that was right in front of me. From the left, various musical instruments emerged, and suddenly I saw a stage with an array of fans and colorful lights. The light was immense and wrapped in mercy, and I felt it was the light of the Shechinah. Suddenly, I hear a voice asking me, 'What do you want, what do you want, what do you want'. I fell to my knees, started crying. I don't know what to choose. The voice whispered, 'My daughter, wherever you choose, there you will succeed. You have only one choice and you won't return from where you choose.' I cry and cry, and in the end, I rise and smile - I went toward Hashem".

When she awoke, she knew she had received a massive message in her dream, and on Shabbat morning, she went straight to her father, Benny Elbaz, to tell him about it. "I interrupted my father in the middle of Kiddush, and I said, 'Dad, you won't believe what I went through last night. I want to return to my faith'".

At that moment, Michelle decided she no longer wanted to sing, didn't want to miss her purpose or lead people away from their Father in Heaven. "My brother, my mother, my father, my sisters - they all started to dance and sing 'How blessed we are, how blessed we are' and they said to me 'Blessed are you that you returned'".

The next day, Michelle stood before her agent and announced: "I am leaving it all, I want to return to my faith. I'm stopping singing".

At first, the agent resisted. "How will we do this? You have a video about to release, an album in the works, performances... he didn't understand what I was telling him, but when he saw I was determined, he tore up my contract before my eyes and said to me: 'Who am I not to let you return to your faith?'".

Today, Michelle sings exclusively for women and is grateful for the moment she made that tough decision. "I was offered a very tempting offer, but I didn't hesitate for a moment. I decided to continue with the Creator of the World because I saw the miracles and the signs, and I saw how much deception exists in the world. Today I have a husband who studies Torah, today I sing for women. Hashem only gives and gives, thank you, Father. Thank you for everything," she concludes.
