What Is a Periscope?
A periscope is a special tool that lets someone see above their head without standing up. It’s often used in submarines to look above the water while staying hidden below. The basic periscope uses mirrors placed at angles so you can see things that aren’t directly in front of you. These days, many periscopes are digital and use cameras instead of mirrors.
Who Invented Sticky Notes?
You’ve probably used “Post-it” notes, those little papers that stick lightly and can be removed easily. They were actually invented by accident! An American scientist named Spencer Silver was trying to create a very strong glue, but instead, he came up with a very weak one. At first, he didn’t know what to do with it. Six years later, he realized it could be used for bookmarks that stay in place without falling out. That’s how sticky notes were born. They became one of the best-selling products at the company where he worked.
Which Bird of Prey Flies the Highest?
The bird of prey that flies the highest is the Rüppell's Griffon Vulture. It lives in central African countries like Sudan, Ethiopia, Guinea, and Tanzania. Most of the time, it flies at about 6 kilometers high, but one vulture was once recorded flying over 11 kilometers in the sky, so high that it even hit a commercial airplane! This amazing bird was named after a scientist named Eduard Rüppell who discovered it.
