Do you know what the smallest car in the world was?
The smallest car ever made was the "Mini Peel P50." From the side, it looked like just half a car. It had a tiny seat, manual gears, and only three wheels. The engine was just 50 cc and could go up to 37 mph. Like a motorcycle, it didn’t even have a reverse gear. The price was tiny too, just 199 British pounds.
Do you know what the deepest trench in the world is?
It’s called “Challenger Deep,” found at the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean. It’s about 7 miles deep—like a huge pit under the sea. It’s so wide, it’s about five times the size of Israel.
Do you know the origin of 'dog days'?
We often hear "dog days" used to describe very cold nights. The saying comes from the North Pole, where the Inuit people would talk about a “three dogs night”, meaning it was so cold, you’d need three dogs in your igloo just to stay warm!
Do you know where marsupials live?
Most marsupials live in Australia. Of course, we all know the kangaroo, but there are others too like koalas, wallabies, and opossums. They’re all part of the same family of animals with pouches.
Do you know the fourth state of matter?
Most of us know the three common states: solid, liquid, and gas. But there’s a fourth state called plasma. It’s a very energetic state where there are free-floating particles like electrons and protons, and it reacts to magnetic fields.
Do you know what a rainstick is?
A rainstick is a musical instrument that sounds like falling rain. It’s a long, hollow stick made from wood, bamboo, or even cactus. Inside, there are small pebbles or beans and little spikes like cactus thorns. When you turn it over, it sounds like gentle rain.
Do you know the only plant that survives harsh desert conditions?
That would be the cactus! Cacti can live with very little water and still survive extreme heat and dryness, especially in deserts like the one in northern Mexico.
