A wave of curiosity has swept through Colombia after a strange metal sphere crashed near the town of Buga in the western part of the country. Locals say they saw it zigzagging through the sky before it hit the ground. Those who got close said it felt icy cold and gave off a strong burnt-metal smell.
The small object, weighing about 2 kilograms (around 4.4 pounds), caused surprising reactions. One person poured water on it, and it immediately let off smoke as the water quickly evaporated. Another person said they touched it with bare hands and later felt sick.
Scientists who examined the sphere were stunned. X-ray images showed something amazing inside: three layers of heavy metal, a center filled with 18 tiny balls, and engraved markings that look like ancient writing. These included symbols similar to runes, Ogham (an old Celtic script), and even Mesopotamian letters.
Dr. Jo Louis Velasquez, a radiologist helping with the tests, said, “We didn’t find any seams, screws, or welding, something very unusual for anything made by people. Its design is way more complex than what we see in modern industry.”
Experts used artificial intelligence to try and understand the engravings. The first decoding revealed a mysterious message: “The source of birth through unity and energy in the circle of change... individual consciousness.” Some scientists think this might be a message meant for humanity.
So far, no one knows where the object came from. The Colombian government hasn’t commented, and researchers are still trying to understand whether this could be some form of advanced technology. One expert said, “We’re not saying it’s from outer space, but we’ve definitely never seen anything like it before.”
