Police on the popular island of Mallorca recently arrested a 21-year-old German tourist accused of causing property damage to the hotel he was staying at. The tourist claimed he was freezing in his room and couldn't adjust the temperature using the system. As a result, he decided to rip the air conditioning unit from its place and brought it down to the reception desk.

The stunned hotel staff contacted the Mallorca police to handle the situation. German officers, stationed in Mallorca during the summer season to assist with similar incidents involving German tourists, also got involved. Following an inspection of the room, it was determined that the removal of the air conditioner caused severe damage to the electrical and plumbing systems.

The police arrested the young man and initiated an investigation to examine the circumstances of the incident and assess the damages. Investigators are focusing on whether the tourist was under the influence of alcohol or drugs during the event.

Local residents have expressed increasing concern about the impact of tourism, especially when it comes to inappropriate behavior by tourists.
