In recent days, an unusually embarrassing incident unfolded in the city of Hangzhou, China, which quickly became the talk of the local media. A woman named Li (her last name withheld for privacy) reportedly heard suspicious noises coming from the wardrobe in her bedroom. Confused and unsure of what was happening, she decided to call the local police. An officer who arrived on the scene, equipped with a body camera, captured the moment the wardrobe door was opened, leaving both the officers and the woman in shock.

When the police opened the wardrobe, they found a man sitting curled up, trying to hide, while holding a gaming console. When asked to explain his presence, the man confidently declared, "I live here." The officers, along with the woman, who was convinced it was a burglar, were stunned to discover that the man hiding was none other than her husband. "Why is your husband hiding in the wardrobe?" one of the officers asked the confused woman, and from there the story became even more tangled.

It turns out the husband, whose first name is Ding, had told his wife he was leaving for work, but instead stayed home. When asked about his odd behavior, he said he wanted to play his favorite video game, which he was holding when the officers found him. He told the police he forgot to inform his wife and didn’t know she’d be home while he played. When asked why he was playing inside the wardrobe, he explained, "I wanted to disconnect, so no one would bother me." The officers chose to conclude the incident by escorting the man out of the wardrobe and suggesting he move his gaming to the living room.

The incident in Hangzhou joins a list of other strange occurrences in recent years. It was also reported that in another case, a husband discovered his wife hiding on the garage roof, avoiding the house because neighbors were filming social media videos in the area, which she was afraid of being caught in.
