#VALUE!
There are countless amazing inventions and hacks for laundry available online.
This particular tip, shared by American cleaning blogger Tara Roberts, went viral with millions of views and likes on social media, and for good reason. In my own experience, I've tried countless methods to achieve satisfying results with white laundry, particularly with everyday white shirts that inevitably encounter stains and fading.
Honestly, nothing I tried could restore the natural brightness of the shirts and make them truly clean, except for Tara's brilliant tip, which I've slightly improved.
Initially, Tara suggested using a piece of a magic eraser sponge to shine white sneakers, but I applied the tip to white clothing, which I pre-sprayed with a specialized whitening spray for white laundry. To ensure that the spray wasn't solely responsible, I assure you that when used alone, it failed to remove all stains and certainly didn't bring back the bright white color to the shirts.
What worked? You guessed it: Adding a piece of the magic eraser sponge directly into the drum along with the usual laundry items. In my case: a teaspoon of baking soda was also added to the drum (it softens the clothes), along with a cup of laundry detergent and softener. I ran the machine on a one-and-a-half-hour cycle at 104 degrees Fahrenheit.
The result? Simply stunning: All the prior stains on the shirts vanished without a trace, and the vibrant color finally returned. Give it a try; you definitely won't regret it.
