The beloved Jewish-American comedian and actor, Jerry Seinfeld, recently visited Israel to show his support during the country's challenging times. Unlike some other Jewish artists who shy away from political statements, Seinfeld openly expressed his solidarity with Israel.

Just yesterday (Sunday), Seinfeld faced a tense situation when pro-Palestinian demonstrators accosted him. This happened after he exited an event in Manhattan, New York. Fortunately for Seinfeld, he was surrounded by a significant police presence that shielded him from the crowd.

"Genocide supporter," shouted the protesters as Seinfeld made his way to his car, right outside the New York event. However, Seinfeld kept his composure and opted for a surprising gesture: waving to them as if greeting fans.

Despite his calm demeanor, the protesters continued hurling insults, as seen in a video circulated on YouTube. "Genocide supporter, you're a genocide supporter," one of them yelled. Following the protest, several demonstrators were taken into custody by the New York Police for questioning.

As a reminder, since the outbreak of the conflict, Seinfeld has consistently voiced his support for Israel, providing several quotes on the matter. About three months ago, his wife, a known supporter of Israel, also visited the country. This isn't the first instance of Hollywood stars of Jewish descent being targeted by pro-Palestinian activists since the conflict began. Two months into it, actor Alec Baldwin faced a similar situation due to his unwavering backing of Israel, while he was en route to teach an acting class.

Recently, Seinfeld's wife shared her perspectives after her visit to Israel. "We wanted to see the aftermath of the attack with our own eyes. We saw homes where families were tortured, shot, bombed, and burned alive. We stood on the grounds where hundreds of young people at a music festival were murdered and kidnapped. As painful as it was to be in these places, what I'll always remember are the people we met in Israel," she recounted. "Heroes who have saved thousands of lives. Young people from New York who have come to work on farms to replace those who've gone to fight Hamas. Hostage families who still endure trauma but continue to want to help. Exceptional people unified in providing emergency assistance through civic service.

""It was my fifth visit to Israel—and I've never seen the nation so unified," she added. "People from all walks of life, from wounded soldiers to the families of peace activists whose mothers, fathers, or brothers were murdered or still held captive in Gaza. These atrocities erased divisions within Israel. Everyone has come together for a greater purpose—to defeat Hamas, build a better and safer Israel, and ultimately, a better and safer world."
