Social media influencer Yuval Maatook spent a week in New York, where she took part in a pro-Israel advocacy mission together with fellow influencer Natali Dadon and other public figures.
Among other things, she met with influential figures in the Big Apple and even met Rabbi Manis Friedman. Matok says the purpose of the meeting was to seek personal guidance. She asked the rabbi what she could do to finally stand under the chuppah, and according to her, he gave her one remarkable piece of advice that completely changed her perspective.
“Here I am asking Rabbi Manis Friedman for help finding a relationship,” Maatook wrote on her Instagram account. “I clenched my teeth a bit, but he managed to understand me,” she added, emphasizing how difficult it was for her to ask a rabbi for advice in English. “I can’t find anyone — what should I do?” she asked him in the video. “I want to get married now, to start a family,” she explained.
Later, Maatook posted a story with the rabbi’s answer. “The rabbi explained to me that I shouldn’t be looking for a man — I should be looking for my husband,” she clarified, sharing a photo of him. “He told me to change my mindset, both in my head and in my heart, and look for someone I can see as a future husband. As the father of my children. It’s a meaningful difference between looking for a man and looking for a husband. So my dear followers, from today, we are looking for a husband,” she concluded excitedly.
