The proposal by Haifa City Council Member Kirill Karytnik sparked a significant online uproar yesterday (Tuesday) after he suggested transferring the wild boars roaming his city directly into Hamas tunnels in the Gaza Strip.
In an interview on Channel 14, Karytnik stated that his proposal was even presented to the Chief of Staff, Herzi Halevi, as reported by Maariv. "The Nature and Parks Authority culls numerous wild boars every year, so what I propose is to introduce hundreds of wild boars into the tunnels and booby-trapped buildings, thus reducing the loss of IDF soldiers. In Haifa, we have an abundance of wild boars causing enormous damage to residents, and according to my proposal, we would send them to the Gaza Strip in trucks, and they would enter the booby-trapped and dangerous areas."
Karytnik further added, "I would prefer a thousand wild boars cry for their piglets than for a Jewish mother to bury her son at Mount Herzl. I approached Mayor Einat Kalisch on this matter, but unfortunately, as always, she did not respond. I am willing to do anything for the lives of our soldiers."
