Hundreds of children, dressed in blue and white, gathered at the Jewish community school in Australia and sang "Am Yisrael Chai", while calling for unity.
The song, by the singer Eyal Golan, aims to convey a message of unconditional love and has become one of the most played songs during the conflict. Now, the children have succeeded in moving pro-Israel supporters worldwide by performing and dancing to the song, dressed in blue and white and hugging each other. The touching footage was shared globally and also moved Golan himself.
The singer decided to share the video he received, in which the children, from so far away, convey a message of unity from distant Australia. "Since the song was released, I have received hundreds of videos from you, singing it at home with your children, singing it loudly in the car, kids singing it at schools where it's even set as a ringtone. Every video warms my heart anew," wrote the singer. "But when I received this video from the other side of the world, I was especially moved."
Golan added, "The children you see in the video are from Moriah School in Australia, a large Jewish community that decided to sing and film a special clip to support our country." Golan mentioned the song's creators, Avi Ohayon and Ofir Cohen, and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to offer a bit of optimism and hope during these challenging times for the Jewish people. "With Hashem's help, we will come out stronger than ever. Am Yisrael Chai," he concluded.
Last week, his daughter Alin moved her followers by posting a birthday wish for Eliraz Sadeh, her mother's husband, on his 41st birthday. Sadeh and Levi have been married for five years and have two children together.
"Happy birthday to the greatest gift I received," wrote Alin, "To the person who makes me feel at home wherever he is, to the person who teaches me daily what unconditional love is. Thank you for guiding me, but also allowing me to find my way on my own. Thank you for giving me your whole heart and more, even when you don't have to. Thank you for the privilege of learning from you what genuine love for Hashem and true faith are. Thank you for every little moment with you, the funny car rides that are just ours, the small arguments, and the warm hugs when I need them."
