A Little Girl's Compassion Moves the Internet

Some children are 'over-sensitive' to their surroundings, but this phenomenal ability is a special gift. If channeled into the right things, it can bring about revolutions.

This is exactly who Li-Shi is. She came home from school one day with a somber look and told her mom, with sadness, about the school janitor. "Mom, this woman works so hard. She cleans our school, and kids throw paper in the bathrooms and make messes. She doesn't say anything. She washes and cleans without complaining or getting angry. Sometimes, she even smiles. She works hard, and it makes me sad to see her like that."

In response, her mother, Tehila, tried to temper her sensitivity and told her that most jobs are hard work, but she did not expect what came next: "Mom, please. I want to buy her a gift from the allowance you gave me. Can I, please? I want to make her happy."

Her mother was moved, and tears of emotion threatened to burst forth. She hugged Li-Shi and promised that after dinner, they would go to buy a gift for the school janitor.
