An inspiring initiative in Beit El demonstrates the power and solidarity of the Jewish people - to support and help a fellow Jew in distress.
Following recent vehicular attacks, Dvir Ben Hamo joined a protest against terrorism in the Beit El area. He vocally demanded decisive action against the murderous terrorists, refusing to "stay silent," even when the police arrived and threatened to fine those who wouldn’t leave.
Ben Hamo stood his ground and consequently received a traffic ticket for 250 shekels, despite not committing any traffic violation. A local organization established in Judea and Samaria against terrorism rallied behind Ben Hamo’s justified protest, and decided to support him through a gesture that touched our hearts.
Representatives from the group, called 'Zero Terror Events,' created a PayBox group and called on hundreds of people to join and help Ben Hamo pay the fine. "One shekel to support the protests," they wrote, and within just half an hour, the page gained momentum and successfully raised the entire amount from compassionate individuals who empathized with and supported Ben Hamo.
