A Chilling Case: Man Declared Dead Wakes Up in Morgue Freezer

After being declared dead due to a severe car accident, a man was moved to the hospital morgue's freezer, as is standard procedure there. But a few hours later, doctors discovered that Srikesh Kumar, the 40-year-old electrician, was actually alive and unconscious in the freezing chamber.

Kumar was brought to the hospital after being struck by a motorcycle in the city of Moradabad, India. After critical care treatment, doctors pronounced his death and transferred him to the morgue freezer. Kumar spent nearly seven hours frozen until his family realized he was still alive.

Kumar's family visited the hospital to handle some paperwork when his sister-in-law noticed movement. 'He's not dead, he's trying to say something,' she exclaimed. The doctors quickly opened the freezer and moved Kumar to a nearby medical center for treatment.

The family is now suing the hospital for medical negligence that could have cost Kumar his life. 'We will file a complaint against the doctors for negligence, as they almost killed Srikesh by placing him in the freezer,' stated the victim's sister-in-law.

Rajendra Kumar, the hospital's medical superintendent, remarked that 'Kumar's recovery was nothing short of a medical miracle.' The regional health inspector, Dr. Shiv Singh, added, 'This is a very rare case, and we cannot label it as medical negligence. Our current priority is to save his life.'
