Ellis went out to celebrate her birthday with a friend. Before reaching home, she opened her bag and found a plastic square, which she later realized was a keychain with a Bluetooth tracker. She knew the small device wasn't hers and couldn't fathom how it landed in her bag.

Upon realizing the device was meant to track her location, she removed the battery and promptly shared her finding on social media, hoping the post would help others avoid falling victim to this kind of tracking attempt.
