The Guinness World Records book features individuals who have reached remarkable milestones. Meet some of the Israelis who've earned a spot in the records.

1. David Leskov, a member of the IDF's Yefeh unit, entered the Guinness records as the oldest active soldier, serving until age 85.

2. Eran Katz - successfully memorized a number of 500 digits both forwards and backwards, after hearing it only once.

3. Until his passing in 2017, the world's oldest man was Yisrael Kristal, a resident of Haifa born in 1903.

4. The lowest dry land on earth is the shores of the Dead Sea in Israel.

5. Avraham Borshevsky from Jerusalem is the scribe who wrote the largest kosher mezuzah in 2004.

6. Gilad Zuckerman reached a record with his collection of 227 coins.

7. Ofer More built the world's largest rocking horse, measuring 7.6 meters long, 6.1 meters high, and 3.22 meters wide, weighing 2.2 tons. The horse is fully functional and made of wood.

8. The largest halva was made on August 15, 2009, in Nazareth, weighing 3,811 kg and measuring 206 meters long.

9. The most crowded class was held at the high school near the university, listed in the Guinness records for fitting 244 students into a 30 sqm classroom for lessons in Jewish thought, Bible, and literature.

10. The largest online class took place in 2014, with then-President Shimon Peres giving a citizenship lesson to about 9,000 students via the Amal network.

11. The most heavily armored combat bulldozer is the IDF's D9 bulldozer.

12. In October 2014, six Israeli swimmers - Udi Erel, Oded Rahav, Luke Stebun, Doron Amosi, Ben Anush, and Uri Sela - set a Guinness record by swimming 380 km from the shores of Paphos, Cyprus, to Israel, dedicating the swim to combating sea pollution.

13. In September 2018, 100 Israeli swimmers, under the name "100KM4KREMBO", broke a Guinness record, swimming 100 times 1,000 meters to raise awareness for people with disabilities and for the "Krembo Wings" movement.

14. Yossi the elephant, born and living in the Ramat Gan Safari, is the largest elephant in the world and has the most offspring.

15. Denisa the giraffe, who lived most of her life in the Ramat Gan Safari, held the record as the oldest giraffe in captivity and the giraffe with the most offspring before her death.
