#VALUE!
Did you know there is a train in Japan that travels for several days, where passengers reserve sleeping accommodations? Meet the "Sunrise Express" - Japan's last night train that hasn't been replaced by flights.
This unique train offers sleeping compartments with varying levels of luxury and comfort, ranging from luxurious to more simple accommodations like the one shown in the attached video. This compartment includes an organized sleeping area carpeted with a warm blanket, a tiny table, a reading lamp, a disposable cup, and an additional space to sit directly on the floor and enjoy the view through the window during the journey.
It's surprising to learn that before climbing up to the personal sleeping area, one has to remove their shoes. For those interested, there's also an option to purchase a ticket for a shower. These tickets are limited, so it's recommended to buy them as soon as you board the train. The shower area is tiny, and the shower ticket allows for exactly 6 minutes of shower time, not a minute longer. However, despite the availability of showers, towels are not for sale on the train; each passenger should bring their own.
What about privacy? The sleeping compartment is separated from others by a partial wall, and those seeking more privacy might prefer a more expensive compartment. Additionally, there is no electrical outlet in the compartment for charging phones, so a portable charger is a must. Another interesting point is that there are no meals offered on the train. There are only vending machines and snacks available.
Would you take a ride on such a train?
