#VALUE!
Twelve siblings from one family recently broke a Guinness World Record, earning the slightly unusual title of 'siblings with the greatest age span within one family.'
Although the 12 siblings of the D'Cruz family live in different countries, that didn't stop the Guinness judges from awarding them this title. Their ages range from 75 to 97. The eldest sibling, Doreen, was born in 1923, while the youngest, Eugenia, was born more than two decades later in 1945.
The chain of siblings also includes Patrick, born in 1925, Genevieve in 1927, Joyce in 1929, Ronny in 1930, Beryl in 1932, Joe in 1934, Francesca in 1936, Althea in 1938, Teresa in 1940, and Rosemary in 1943.
Now, take note of this interesting fact:
Almost all 12 siblings were born only two years apart from each other, except for Rosemary, who was born three years after her sister Teresa, but then two years later came the youngest, Eugenia.
"It feels really wonderful to receive this Guinness World Record," said 91-year-old Joyce in an interview with CNN. "We're very proud of the fact that we're all still alive. That is the greatest record."
The siblings, originally from Pakistan, now live in the United States, Canada, and Switzerland. Because of COVID-19, a family reunion isn't on the horizon, but they make it a point to meet on Zoom every day. "Our connection is what helps us keep going," they say.
