Kateri and Jay Schwandt from Michigan waited 28 years for a daughter.
During those years, they welcomed 14 boys one after another, but they never gave up on their dream to have a girl. Last month, it finally happened, and the 45-year-old couple is now embracing a daughter.
"Our first son, Tyler, who is now 28, was born when I was 17," Kateri recalls. She shared that raising boys required immense strength, and she often wondered what it would be like to have a daughter.
With the 15th birth, their daughter Maggie Jayne was born, weighing 3.4 kg.

"Our joy knows no bounds," they say in local media, which eagerly covered the heartwarming story. "We're thrilled to welcome Maggie Jayne into our family. She's the greatest gift we could ever imagine," said Jay, who is a lawyer by profession.
"It's amazing that my parents had a daughter after so many years," said Tyler, their eldest son. "They thought they would never achieve their dream. I'm not even sure if my mom owns any pink baby clothes or anything else suitable for a girl," he added.
