This is the complete photo, and we want to start discussing it because, as you can see, the man beyond the bridge is tied up in an unbelievable way.
The people responsible for these incredible ties are none other than the strangers on the bridge, complete strangers who stumbled upon the most unusual scenario on their way to a regular workday: a young man attempting to end his life by jumping off Golders Green Bridge in North London.
Bystanders who noticed this jumped into action, held him close in bear hugs, and immediately called the police - who arrived quickly and tied him with a rope to prevent him from jumping.
The event occurred in 2017.
For two whole hours, bystanders held the man until a fire truck with a hydraulic lift arrived to safely lower him to the street below the bridge, where an ambulance was waiting to take him to the hospital.
One of the heroic rescuers, named Nigel Howard, said, "The crowd wanted to see what would happen and hoped for a happy ending, but there was also a bit of frustration because people weren't even allowed to cross the road to get home. The police were very friendly, but people wanted to return home after a long day at work."

"It was very moving to see how people showed their care and helped him," said other bystanders who watched in awe. "The photos touched thousands because there was genuine love and concern."
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed it was a young man with mental health challenges, and under the law, he was taken for help at a mental health facility.
