#VALUE!
When Brian and Candela met in the cancer ward of a Buenos Aires hospital, they had no idea their encounter would turn their lives upside down.
They were both facing the deadly lymphoma cancer, navigating through one of the darkest periods they'd ever experienced. "Each morning, I woke up with a new sad face," Candela shares. "I just didn't want to live anymore."
Joking about how they met, the couple reveals their bond began by joining a group chat with other patients to combat loneliness, discuss treatments, and draw strength from each other. "Suddenly, we realized we were the only ones responding to each other, the only active participants, constantly chatting," they laugh.
Recognizing their unique connection, they decided to support each other through whatever might come.
This week, three years later, they announced they had beaten cancer—together! "We went through the last round of tests together, discovering our bodies were free of cancerous cells. Now, we visit other patients to show them there's always hope and not to lose it."
If that wasn't enough, just a few months earlier, Brian proposed to Candela, and they married in an intimate family ceremony. Today, they teach other patients how to hold on tight to hope and not give up. "Our story proves that anything is possible in life," they conclude.
