#VALUE!
Friends.
In light of a call from an elderly, lonely woman to the "Kol Chai" program this evening, sobbing as she asked the Rabbi how she should conduct herself on Seder night alone? Should she set one plate and read the Haggadah by herself? She is truly experiencing a mental crisis.
Let's not, heaven forbid, reach a situation where loners or even couples lose their sanity.
I came up with an idea on Shabbat, and following tonight's call, decided to spread it widely.
Anyone living in a building who knows there's an elderly couple or loners nearby should approach the neighbor closest to their door, and on Seder night, leave their doors open.
Most dining areas are near the door, and if not, it's worth making an effort for one evening to move the table closer to the entrance, hosting the Seder with the neighbor while each remains in their own home, observing all health guidelines.
Please share this message in every possible group, and let's maintain the sanity of those who remain alone.
