No public transport, no cars, no work, no restaurants, no open stores, no bars, no clubs, no cinemas... Just a few of the surprising silver linings of the COVID pandemic. A letter circulating online might just win your heart over.

#VALUE!
There is a positive and uplifting side to the coronavirus.
This upcoming Shabbat will be the first in the history of the State of Israel where we'll see:
No public transport
No cars
No work
No restaurants
No open stores
No bars
No clubs
No cinema
No beaches
No soccer
A pure Shabbat where every family in Israel will gather at home around the Shabbat table for three long meals. With nowhere to rush off to, we linger in the moment.
For the first time since the state was founded, many Jews who have never observed Shabbat will experience its delight and serenity.
Can you grasp how Hashem rules over the world? A virus barely visible under a microscope has halted the entire globe, metaphorically and literally pausing life and ensuring a real day of rest.
Everything comes from above. The bats in China were messengers from Hashem, teaching us about His infinite power.
Yair Lapid
Avigdor Lieberman
Ron Kobi
Benny Gantz
and other secular figures
could not have foreseen the holy Shabbat imposing itself in a way that, by legal decree, would have the Supreme Court and the Knesset observing it in the strongest manner possible.
Legal appeals won't help, for they too must honor this sacred day.
Dear Jew, look around and ponder how it came to be that the entire nation is compelled to embrace Shabbat with such strength. It's all from above, sent by Hashem.
Shabbat Shalom and blessings
Y.K.K.
