Little Ruby today, a completely healthy child
Heartwarming stories with happy endings happen all the time, and the story of Ruby Moglestone from Bristol, England, is proof of this.
At just two years old, Ruby was diagnosed with a type of lymphoma that attacked large cells in her body, which doctors initially mistook for arthritis.
Her condition deteriorated rapidly until the cancer was properly identified. On a day that seemed like any other, Ruby's siblings and parents were called to say their final farewells. On that day, Ruby was to undergo an especially difficult treatment with almost no chance of recovery. "The doctors told us her heartbeat was extremely high, and she wasn't eating at all. They advised us to bring her siblings to say goodbye," recounts her father, Paul.

Against all odds, Ruby's condition began to improve dramatically within a week of receiving treatment, and she was moved from the intensive care unit to the regular oncology ward.
Not long after, Ruby made a full recovery. The cancer receded, her hair grew back, and today she is as healthy as any other child. "Ruby is our personal miracle," writes her mother, Nicola. She notes that despite the fear of losing her forever, her daughter is proof that miracles happen every day, and we just need to believe in them.
