A decade ago, ten-year-old Yosef Yitzchak Kadush tragically passed away. Today, his mother, Sarit Weitzman, has launched a touching social initiative called 'Parcels of Love,' aiming to ensure Purim gift parcels reach everyone who might otherwise not receive them.

As part of this project, Weitzman encourages people to fulfill the mitzvah of giving at least one Purim gift parcel to someone they do not personally know, thereby honoring the memory of her son Yossi. He would annually, right up until his last Purim, distribute gift parcels to random people on the street. According to his mother, Yossi often gave his parcels to 'invisible' children who seemed unnoticed, a lonely neighbor, and even the bus driver.

"Yossi had a knack for recognizing those individuals, and it was these people he most wanted to uplift," his mother shares, adding, "We hope this human gesture in his memory becomes a phenomenon across communities and groups, becoming a kind of all-Israeli mitzvah for Purim."

In these special gift parcels, Weitzman suggests adding a small note with a kind word and giving it to someone you do not know.
