A new trend is taking over the vegan world: shawarma made from none other than cheese.
The genius behind this idea is a dairy product company named 'Naturali' based in Zurich, Switzerland. Leading the company is Roland Roegg, who claims it's an innovative and tasty version of vegetarian kebab made from synthetic milk, called the ChiBab.
Since it launched in Zurich last year, ChiBab has gained momentum and today it has demand among vegetarians all over the world.
Some might argue it's just a passing fad that doesn't begin to compare to the meat version in flavor, but Roegg says it is a pretty good alternative for vegetarians, as the cheese itself is produced in a special lab to meet their needs.
