An article published this week in the popular newspaper the Washington Post revealed the incredible story of James Hart Stern, an African American social activist who managed to infiltrate a neo-Nazi organization and transform it into a pro-Jewish group.
This was one of the largest white neo-Nazi movements in the U.S., once led by a man named Jeff Schoep. In interviews with American media, the 54-year-old Stern shared how, from the beginning of his time in the organization, after cunningly infiltrating it, he set a goal to fight against its agenda promoting hatred and the destruction of Jews and Blacks.
Where did this revolutionary idea come from, and why? Schoep shared that it all started when he shared a prison cell with a neo-Nazi. "I realized that if I wanted to destroy the root, I needed to reach the leader," he said. After his release from prison, Stern decided to proceed with his plan and reached out to a district judge in the state of Virginia, requesting an investigation into Schoep's crimes.
Responding to a question about how he managed to infiltrate the organization and later even replace its leader, Stern explained that his only option was to use manipulations that convinced the members of the organization that he was on their side. "I took over many of the organization's projects, but it was just to ensure that 45 years of terrorizing humanity would be behind us," he said, adding that he has no intention of leading the organization under its existing concept.
"My entire goal is to block the organization's violent actions, dismantle it completely, and finally - use its website to stream films about slavery in the U.S. and the Holocaust of European Jewry."
"I had no problem accepting his foolishness and exploiting it"
According to Stern, he and Schoep have been talking for more than five years, and the neo-Nazi leader told him he intends to dismantle the group to avoid liability for a massive lawsuit currently pending.
"It scared me that he intended to escape responsibility for crimes that lasted over 45 years," Stern said. "I told him: 'Don't dismantle it so someone else can use it. Give me the organization, and I promise not to disappoint you.' Of course, he tried to make some strategic maneuvers about how he was acting wisely with this step, but I had no issue accepting his foolishness and exploiting it - to get rid of the group for the sake of humanity."
Now, even if someone tries to revive the organization's agenda (known as NSM) from its ashes, Stern says a court order will soon forbid it. "I call on the Jewish community in the U.S. to work with me on the site, to provide me with the education and recommendations on what should be displayed on it so people can be exposed to the truth about what the Jewish people endured during the horrors of the Holocaust and the genocide they experienced," Stern concluded.
