It all started with a small stain on a favorite garment that Celine wanted to remove. "I didn't have any laundry gel at home, but I did have vinegar, so I decided to try and clean the stain with it. When I saw it helped a bit, I decided to soak the shirt in a bowl with vinegar, and then put it in the washing machine."

When she took the shirt out of the washing machine, Celine was amazed. "Not only had the stain disappeared, but the shirt was also incredibly soft, like the day I bought it—not as if it had gone through about 100 washes," she wrote in a social media post.

Then she decided to experiment, and for a month she washed only with vinegar—without any laundry detergent at all. "At first, it takes some getting used to, especially if you love a strong fragrance in your fabric softener," she writes and explains that the main issue is, "No matter which fabric softener I choose, I'm always disappointed. The smell never lasts after the laundry dries."

According to her, vinegar mixed with different essential oils "gives a much better result in clothes, even long after they dry, and the vinegar also helps clean not just your clothes but also your washing machine. Ladies, try it and see: one cup of vinegar mixed with a few drops of jasmine essential oil, and you won't believe how much your clothes can improve—for cleanliness and for fragrance."
