When Dr. Eyal Simchi, an observant Jewish dentist residing in New Jersey, steps into his office, he never fails to bring a smile to the faces around him. Dr. Simchi's unique specialty is not just in dental work, but in his ability to bring happiness and comfort to his patients—primarily children with special needs.
His approach to this important mitzvah is filled with lightheartedness, often featuring a range of tricks performed for his smiling patients.
In a video uploaded to social media that has already garnered over 10 million views, Simchi is seen pretending to pull tiny glowing balls from the chin of his astonished patient—a three-year-old non-Jewish child watching in wide-eyed wonder as the ball transfers from place to place before disappearing.
And what were the online reactions? Warm and varied: "I have a fear of dentists. Do you take adults too?" wrote one comment. "Does this dentist accept new patients? I'm 40, so not sure about the fit for his children's clinic," wrote another.
"It's always exciting to be in Dr. Simchi's clinic. He does a wonderful job with kids, kudos to him," "I wish all doctors had your patience," and more comments like these.
Here's another delightful clip we found on his Facebook page, which we couldn't resist sharing with you:
