A photo showing small infants on a metal stroller, each swaddled tightly, has recently shaken the internet. The unique image, featuring a baby boy belonging to a friend of the Chabad envoy in Novgorod, Russia - Rabbi Menachem Rabinowitz, was shared by the father himself.
The proud father, Zalman Wolf, captured this fascinating moment in a local hospital in Nizhny. So far, the image has garnered plenty of admiration from users on Twitter, Facebook, and WhatsApp. After all, it's not every day you see 17 serene babies lying side by side in one stroller.
While the initial impression might suggest that the babies always lie this way, rest assured, the large stroller is used by staff to 'distribute' the babies between maternity rooms and then back to the nursery. Of course, each baby gets their own crib there. To prevent mix-ups, each infant also has a small tag and bracelet for easy identification.
Wolf commented on this wrapping method, saying that at first, it might seem strange compared to what's customary back home, but the doctors here are excellent, and this method has been proven beneficial since it makes the babies feel 'as if they're in the womb.'
