It all began when a Japanese artist couple, Teruyuki and Yuka Ishikawa, who specialize in 3D graphic design, decided to create a character for a new animated film. For several months, the two dedicated themselves to crafting this masterpiece in the form of a Japanese schoolgirl, never imagining that one day the character would take over the screens and become the talk of the Japanese youth.
