Avshalom's mother shared this touching post:
Avshalom finished first grade today... and he didn't exactly nail it!
There was no certificate of excellence!
His report card had low marks with repetitive comments - you can do better, blah blah blah...
A lot of "but" in Avshalom's report -
You manage to read sounds... but you struggle with...
You've progressed... but you still don't master...
Hebrew, math, and geometry - just a catastrophe, but in gentler words.
In other subjects, they somehow found positives to highlight. In some, he barely attended all year.
Thanks to the public education system, I've learned an important lesson - we can't give up on it. We must fight for it. And all the while, we have to ensure our kids' spirits stay high!
We have wonderful children. Eventually, we'll have a great education system!
In short - we decided to create a report card that truly reflects who he is - the amazing kid who brings us joy every day!
*In accurate expression search should be used in quotas. For example: "Family Pure", "Rabbi Zamir Cohen" and so on
