The Generous Diner: A Surprise $200 Tip
USA: A diner who spent less than ten dollars on a meal left a generous $200 tip for his waitress. "Use this money to visit your son," he wrote in a note he left her.
A random act of kindness occurred this week at a restaurant in the USA, when a diner left his waitress with a $200 tip, and for a good reason. It turns out the diner overheard the waitress, named Brandi, sharing her 'troubles' with a friend, mentioning how much she misses her son but cannot afford to visit him.

You can also see on the transaction receipt (paid with Visa) the legendary additional amount of $200 for a meal of $9.53.
The waitress, in disbelief at what she saw, was left speechless and overwhelmed by the extraordinary gesture. "I couldn't help but slip into the kitchen and cry from excitement," she said, "This just proves that there are still kind and caring people in this world", she concluded tearfully as the figure of the diner she had just served faded from sight.
