If you're like many of us in the community, using the upcoming festival as the perfect excuse to refresh and redesign your home (or at least part of it), this article and gallery are just what you need. You might already be overwhelmed with ideas and styles, unsure about what's current, what will stand the test of time, and what's actually doable. That's where we come in – we've organized the chaos and found the top five home design and styling trends that are here to stay, at least for the next few years. Shall we begin?
1. Eclectic - When someone describes their style as "eclectic," it may sound grand and important, but it really just means "I have no defined style; I mix different pieces and styles together." If this sounds strange to you and you’re not convinced, here’s the dictionary definition of eclectic: "Collected in an uneven manner, using various methods, and from different sources." Now, take this definition and do whatever your heart desires with it. It turns out that being eclectic is such a strong trend in 2025 that if anyone comments on an odd or outdated piece in your new design, you can always say you designed it in an eclectic style. Really, it works.

2. Return to Nature - It seems that in every article surveying the design trends of the coming year, you'll find the words "return to nature." Perhaps because we’ve finally internalized what’s important, or maybe just because these are the raw materials available to us – natural materials. Let’s be honest, who wants plastic furniture? No, thank you. Give us wood, stone, and linen, and we’re happy.

3. Houseplants - As a plant enthusiast, this isn't a trend for me, but who am I to argue with the fact that bringing a houseplant inside has become a design trend? I'm even willing to add one or two more plants for this exciting occasion. Of course, some designers take it very seriously and add giant trees right in the middle of the living room, but let’s admit that in most average apartments around here, this is a bit less feasible. New plants, anyone?!

4. Home as a Spa (or at least the bathroom). The concept of SELF CARE has become increasingly popular over the last few years. You could say everything today fits under the definition of SELF CARE. Did you drink a cup of chamomile tea in the morning? Wow. That's really SELF CARE. Read a book? You’re fabulous at self-care. Happily, you can implement SELF CARE in home design too. Beyond the fact that your home should be designed to suit your personal needs (and what's more "personal care" than that?), add some rolled towels, a scented candle, and dim lighting in the bathroom, and you've nailed one of 2025's strongest trends.

5. Sand and Earth - More than anything, what stands out in 2025 home design is the use of earth tones. Brown shades of terracotta blended with desert sand tones pair perfectly with wood textures, straw, and rattan. You’ll find these hues in textiles like throws and sofa cushions, as well as in wall coverings. Although walls are mostly light (thankfully), if you want to add a wall covering with a thick, rough texture in terracotta shades, you’ll have executed the "earth" trend excellently. Just remember to do it in moderation – one wall might be enough to set the tone for an authentic design with a hint of returning to roots.
