Is There an Obligation to Stand During the Megillah Blessings?
Some have the custom that the congregation stands when reciting the blessings of the Megillah, and some have the custom to sit, and each person should follow their custom [Chazon Ovadia p. 63].
Should Someone Holding a Kosher Megillah Recite Their Own Blessing or Fulfill Their Obligation Through the Prayer Leader's Blessing?
It is preferable that even one who holds a kosher Megillah in their hand should fulfill their obligation of the blessings from the prayer leader, based on the principle "In the multitude of people is the King's glory," and not recite the blessing themselves [Yalkut Yosef p. 485].
