Esteemed rabbis and heads of yeshivas attended the joyous Sheva Brachot for the daughter of the renowned Rabbi Zamir Cohen, the head of Yeshivat Heichal Meir, and the son of the esteemed Rabbi David Berdugo, a member of the Jerusalem Rabbinical Court, organized by Hidabrut.
The celebration was graced by the esteemed Rabbi Shalom Cohen, President of the Council of Torah Sages, the former Sephardi Chief Rabbi Bakshi-Doron, Rabbi Shlomo Machpud, head of the Yoreh Deah Beit Din, Rabbi Yehuda Ades of Mir Yeshiva, Rabbi Shimon Baadani of Ateret Hachamim, Rabbi Zamir Cohen, head of the Rabbinical Court in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Rabbi Chaim Ben-Porat, Rabbi Yitzhak Zakharia of Lev Eliyahu, where the groom studied, Rabbi Meir Levi of Petach Tikva, rabbis from Hidabrut, members of Knesset, and public figures.
In his speech at the celebration, Rabbi Shalom Cohen praised the bride's father, Rabbi Zamir Cohen, saying, "If I speak of her origins... I can testify that he never acted without consultation. By Hashem's will, everything that he was guided to do, he did successfully." He recounted the establishment of the first "Talmud Torah" school in Beitar, "When Beitar had no such school, he came to request its opening. I told him, fine, bring the people, and we'll speak to them. He brought a group, maybe ten, a little more, and we talked, and the Talmud Torah began with ten students. Today, 700 students, three classes per grade, unparalleled success," Rabbi Cohen said. He added: "Moreover, he dedicated himself to engaging with secular individuals on dialogue - it required setting conditions with the screens, and he agreed to all the terms. He brings people back to their faith like our forefather Abraham, because he knows the souls that he made in Haran," Rabbi Cohen said and blessed the groom and bride.
