In this week’s Haftarah for Parshat Lech Lecha, the prophet Isaiah (chapters 40–41) speaks to the Jewish people during exile — a time of despair, distance, and doubt. Just as Avraham Avinu began his great journey of faith, God now promises His people: “Do not fear, for I am with you. I will strengthen you, help you, and uphold you.” The prophet reminds us that even when we feel weak, God gives strength to the weary, lifts the broken, and holds our hand through every hardship. The desert will bloom again, the exiled will return, and His love for Israel will never fade.
