Avraham didn’t realize his guests were angels because angels cast no shadow, yet at midday, when the sun stands directly overhead, no one casts a shadow. How their true identity stayed hidden, and even at the Akeidah, a dark and cloudy sky may have masked the Satan’s lack of a shadow as well.
