Orchot Tzaddikim – Forgetfulness

Rabbi Yirmiyahu Ullman

The author describes forgetfulness as both a weakness and, at times, a hidden blessing. On one hand, forgetting Torah learning or obligations is a great loss, since memory is essential for wisdom, faith, and spiritual growth. A person who does not review constantly risks losing what they have learned.
