Scientists Bring News: Desperate from Dieting? Try Cold Rice!
Scientists have discovered a unique method to reduce the calorie content of rice. Want to know how? Read the article ahead.

Rice is one of the most common and delicious foods in the world, and its lovers would surely agree to base their entire diet on it. Principally, there's no problem with this, unless you're trying to shed excess weight (as rice is known to be high in starch, making digestion difficult). Therefore, anyone who tried to include rice in their daily diet as part of a dieting plan did so with great caution, closely monitoring the amounts consumed throughout the day.
Today, researchers from Sri Lanka assert that with a special method they developed, there will no longer be a need to count rice calories, and it can be consumed without limit even during a diet. How? According to them, rice cooked with coconut oil and refrigerated for half an hour loses about 60% of its calories.
Interestingly, in a similar study conducted in England, researchers were able to prove the same method with pasta that was cooked, cooled, and lost significant percentages of its glycemic value (the speed at which the pasta raised blood sugar levels).
Wait, but does this mean that to stay slim, we'll have to endure eating cold rice for the rest of our lives? Well, no. The English researchers were able to prove that even if the pasta is reheated after being cooled in the fridge, the effect remains.
