a question

Hello Rabbi, on Tisha B'Av I have to work and I am employed as an office secretary. During my work, I speak continuously with patients who come to me. Can I brush my teeth in the morning so that I do not feel uncomfortable (for both myself and the patients) during work?

Answer

Hello and blessings. It is not allowed to brush teeth on Tisha B'Av. If bad breath is very bothersome, you can brush your teeth on Tisha B'Av. Ideally, brush with only toothpaste; if some water is needed, you may use some mouthwash that is somewhat bitter.
