Visions from the Afterlife: Messages from My Late Wife

Rabbi Moshe Nachshoni, a leader in the Orthodox community in Rishon Lezion, recently experienced a moving dream three months after the passing of his wife. He shares this remarkable story in the newsletter 'Divine Providence'.

"My wife, Sarah Nachshoni, of blessed memory, passed away three months ago. Since then, I have been living alone. On the night of Monday, the sixth of Tevet, she appeared in my dream with another woman, a relative also in the afterlife. Both pointed to a specific shelf in my bookcase, with my wife asking me to organize it.

"I awoke dazed. The imagery in the dream was crystal clear, yet I dismissed it, thinking 'Dreams are but false speak.' I couldn't fathom what needed organizing on that shelf—after all, it was quite orderly. It held the Talmud and only a few essential documents: an ID card, some medicines, and banking papers.

"Despite the realization that the shelf seemed in order, the dream lingered with me throughout the day. By evening, I resolved to go through the items on the shelf. As I sifted through the papers, I found a check. In that instant, everything made sense. This check was charitable money that a fellow had entrusted to me at a wedding, asking me to pass it on to a struggling family member set to marry off their daughter. I had placed the check on that shelf intending to pass it on promptly but then forgot... The second woman in the dream was the grandmother of the bride, the mother of the family most in need of the funds. The dream was true.

"I witnessed how vital it is in the heavens that funds reach their rightful place. I saw the connection between souls in the afterlife and those living here. It's humbling to see there is justice and a Judge, and that there's divine providence over every action. May sharing this story benefit the many."
