Just when we thought we could hold on to a little hope of keeping our health and resisting the spread of the sedentary lifestyle, they might take it away from us too: a Japanese engineer invented a tiny transportation device meant to walk for us. Yes, you heard right, this is no illusion. The "Walk Car," or walking car, if you prefer, is this invention that is either somewhat genius or somewhat ridiculous.

"What if you could easily carry your transportation device in your bag?" the engineer asked his audience during a presentation. "How fun is it to know we have our own mode of transportation at our disposal, right?" As a transportation expert and master in electrical component engineering, when his friends requested an invention to replace walking, he got down to work right away, not wasting any time. The result: a small device the size of a laptop that operates on batteries and reaches speeds of 10-12 km/h.
