#VALUE!
If you, too, have run out of cleaning supplies for Passover, there's no need to panic. Creative and economical solutions can definitely be found. Instead of rushing to the supermarket, some problems can be solved with a few ingredients we already have at home, at minimal cost. We've found plenty of simple methods online for making homemade cleaning products from ingredients everyone has in their cabinet. These not only save a lot of money but also protect your health and the environment.
White vinegar, for instance, is an excellent base for almost any natural cleaning mixture. If you mix it with water in equal parts, you can spray over any surface in the house—from the kitchen counters to the bathroom—and it does a fantastic job dealing with grease, limescale, and even bacteria. If you don't like the smell, a few drops of essential oil, like lemon or lavender, will do wonders.
Baking soda is another great solution. It's inexpensive, readily available, and removes stains like a pro. Sprinkle it on surfaces, add a little water for gentle scrubbing, and it even works on carpets—sprinkle at night and vacuum in the morning.
Did you not use your lemon peels after juicing? Don't rush to throw them away. They're perfect for polishing stainless steel and sinks, and if you soak them in vinegar for a few weeks, you'll have a natural deodorizer that spreads a refreshing scent throughout every corner.
Table salt can also be handy—together with lemon juice, it makes an excellent cleaning paste for copper and metal items, and if you have a small clog in the sink, a hot salt solution can help before calling the plumber. Also, about the cloths—instead of buying disposable ones, just cut old shirts into reusable cloths that you can wash and use again for years.
What else should you pay attention to? Even if the materials are more natural, it’s important to store each mixture in a labeled container, keep it out of children's reach, and use care. The total cost of all the ingredients won't exceed 50 shekels, and the result—a sparkling clean home without harmful chemicals and unnecessary brand expenses.
